Annual Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Show | August 10

On August 10, take a short drive over to St. Gerard’s Parish Complex. There, you’ll find the Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Show, an annual event that is extremely popular amongst Yorkton’s green-thumbed gardeners, flower fans, and voracious veggie eaters alike. Admission for the event, which is organized by the Yorkton and District Horticultural Society, includes complimentary coffee and dainties. Find more information here, and enjoy!

Get to Know Yorkton’s RCMP | August 18

On August 18, take a short walk down Broadway Street to Yorkton’s Public Library, where you’ll have the opportunity to get acquainted with the city’s dedicated RCMP officers. Speak to the officers about their jobs, and even sit inside a police car. All ages are welcome! The fun begins at 10:30, and will last into the afternoon. Symphony Under the Sky Festival | August 27

On August 27, an hour’s drive southwest of Yorkton will put you right in the middle of Symphony Under the Sky Festival. The event will kick off at 10:00am, and after a jam-packed day of fun, it’ll all wrap up with a concert from the Regina Symphony Orchestra under the sprawling Saskatchewan sky.
