Blue Moon Marquee
Yorkton Arts Council is pleased to present Blue Moon Marquee, a live concert taking place at the Anne Portnuff Theatre on March 3rd. Blue Moon Marquee is a swing and jazz duo consisting of A.W. Cardinal and Jasmine Colette, who live on the Salish Sea in British Columbia. They bring passion and chemistry to each and every one of their performances, meaning their concert in Yorkton is sure to be a night to remember. The concert is set to kick off at 7:30 pm on March 3rd.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
The Yorkton Paper Bag Players are reimagining a childhood classic, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and bringing it to life in play form this spring. Adapted by Joesph Robinette, this play tells the story we all know and love about Lucy and her siblings finding a wardrobe that transports them to a magical, snow-covered world known as Narnia. The show is suitable for all ages and tickets are free for children under 5 (they are $20 for adults and $15 for students). This Yorkton Paper Bag Players production will run from April 7th until the 10th.
Royal Wood
Acclaimed singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Royal Wood is coming to Yorkton this April. Live at the Anne Portnuff Theatre, Royal Wood has made a name for himself thanks to the many songs he’s authored. He was even proclaimed “Songwriter of the Year” by iTunes. Fans might know his work from shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice. He’s also had the honour of touring with Bonnie Raitt and David Gray. Grab your tickets today for Royal Wood’s show, happening on April 26th from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
